ABOUT
About the Annual Time Adventure Challenge
The Time Adventure Challenge is a four-leg relay race inside Mokolodi Nature Reserve which starts with a 10km trail run followed by a 15km mountain bike ride, then another 15km mountain bike ride and finishes with a 5km trail run. Each leg needs to be completed by a member before the next member can continue. Although it’s a relay race you can take part as an individual or even teams of two to three people as long as all the legs are completed in order.
Time Projects started this event in 2014 as a way of giving back to the community. All the participants’ entry fees are used for the charitable cause and Time sponsors all the costs of running the event. That way together with Time’s clients, associates and friends, we contribute collectively towards social responsibility. There are six different categories so anybody can enter. It’s not an event that’s only for serious athletes!
Time Projects has raised over P350 000 from the Time Adventure Challenge over the years, which has been ploughed back into community projects. These include a contribution, together with business associates, to the Futsal Park in Bontleng and three outdoor gym parks, at Kgale View, Segoditshane Way and Block 8. The 2019 proceeds went towards building a basketball court for the Gaborone Disabled Society. The 2020 TAC beneficiary will be announced in due course.
The event provides entertainment for the whole family with artisanal food stalls, local craft beer, home-made ginger drinks, smoothies and health drinks from local companies who donated a percentage of their sales to Mokolodi Nature Reserve for conservation of the park and animals. Thank you to all the wonderful sponsors who made this day possible. Time Projects hopes to see you all for the next Time Adventure Challenge.
Congratulations to the 2022 winners!
